Day 2 of the DNC.

I have been privileged enough to become involved with an important political project at the Democratic National Convention. The project is called "Faces of 2008", and is sponsored by the DNC. The plan is to have portraits taken of 125 politicians, delegates and celebrities to represent the wide breath of people involved in this momentous occasion!

John Beebe is a Toronto based photographer, with a gift for capturing the true essence of each person. He finds beauty in what some of us might call flaws. Not a single photo will be retouched. It has been a thrill to meet so many passionate people ready and willing to support Barack Obama.

I have worked with some amazing people already: Austin Goolsbee (Barack's chief economic advisor), John Sweeney (president of the AFL-CIO), Craig Newmark (founder of craigslist.com), Eli Pariser (Executive Director of MoveOn.org), and Actress Jurnee Smollett (Cosby Show, Full House, The Great Debaters).
